The use of Unity in film and animation pipelines is still a growing area, and the best way to get started isn’t often clear to new users. This session covers the necessary methods and steps for getting data from external content sources into and out of Unity, with a focus on industry standard technologies and applications, such as Universal Scene Description (USD) and Alembic.

Chris is head of the Media & Entertainment Solution Engineering team at Unity, focused on optimizing pipelines between Unity and the Media and Entertainment world. Previously, he worked in the visual effects and feature animation industries at Tippett Studio and DreamWorks Animation, holding roles as Pipeline Engineer, Technical Director and FX Artist.
